SureSmile Aligners are a series of transparent, removable and virtually invisible clear aligners designed to progressively straighten your teeth. Each new set of aligners is slightly different and gradually guides your teeth into their ideal position. SureSmile® is an advanced alternative to braces that provides a more comfortable and discreet way to straighten your teeth. In some cases, treatment with clear aligners is actually faster and more effective than traditional braces.
Virtually Invisible: SureSmile® Aligners are virtually invisible. Being made with a clear plastic material, they are able to be more easily hidden compared to standard braces.
Removable – Easy to Live With: You won’t need a special diet during treatment because SureSmile® Aligners can be easily removed when you eat, also making it easier to maintain oral hygiene compared to fixed braces.
Are you Fully Committed?
SureSmile® aligners must be worn at least 22-23 hours per day in order to effectively achieve your desired results within the proposed treatment timeline. The aligners should only be removed when brushing, flossing, or eating.
Once your clear aligner treatment is complete, you will likely be required to wear a retainer at night. Neglecting to do so may reverse the effects of your treatment. We offer cosmetic dentistry beyond the scope of clear aligner treatment!

Most SureSmile patients undergo treatment from between 6 to 18 months depending on the amount of movement. During your initial consultation, Dr. Martin will provide you with an estimate of how long your treatment will take and fully explain all the steps involved. You will be able to watch an in depth video of the movement of your teeth and exactly how long the process will be.
Since SureSmile treatment is tailored to the needs of each patient, your timeline may differ from others. If your case of misalignment is more complex, your treatment may extend longer than 12 months.

For most patients, the cost of SureSmile® is similar to that of braces, ranging from $5,000 to $6,000. Your final treatment cost will depend on several factors, including the complexity of your case, how long your treatment takes, and your insurance coverage. The area in which you live can also affect how much you pay for orthodontic treatment.

Yes! Clear aligners are designed to be comfortable and fit snugly over your teeth. Unlike traditional metal braces, they have smooth edges with no brackets or wires, reducing the risk of irritation to your gums and cheeks.
While you may experience mild pressure or discomfort when switching to a new set of aligners, this is a normal sign that your teeth are gradually moving into place. Any discomfort typically fades within a few days.

The SureSmile® Process
Our smile artist team will take a series of 3D scans and pictures to examine the underlying structure of your teeth. During this appointment, you can discuss your needs and goals with your doctor. These scans and photographs will be used for your custom treatment plan.
During treatment, you will wear your trays for 22 to 23 hours each day, removing them only to eat, brush your teeth, or floss. Wearing your aligners for the proper amount of time will keep you on track for your expected end-date. Each new aligner is slightly different than the previous one and applies gentle pressure to guide your teeth into place. We will see you typically every four weeks. During each appointment, Dr. Martin will assess your progress and provide you with the next set of aligners.
The last stage of treatment with SureSmile is maintenance. Once your teeth reach their optimal location, a retainer or other device is needed to ensure your teeth do not shift out of place. These retainers need to be worn ever night to ensure your teeth do not shift or revert back to how they may have looked before.
At the end of treatment if you feel like your teeth have not reached the exact location or look that you desire, we will work with you to do a revision.
Dr. Martin will discuss the precise treatment plan and map out the expected movements of your teeth alongside SureSmile®. At this point, we will also be providing you the cost breakdown depending on how many trays you need.
